KERRY BAKKERUS

President

Kerry is an experienced professional with a wide base of expertise obtained through 22 years of working in professional services predominantly supporting clients in risk management, assurance and business improvement. She has been working at CM Health as their Risk & Privacy Manager for the last 5 years and is Chair of the National DHBs Risk Managers' Forum and Chair of the Regional Privacy Advisory Group.

She is passionate about driving value and improving risk management for NZ Inc. Working in South Auckland, Kerry is keen to ensure that RIMS NZ & PI Chapter drives an inclusive culture and provides equitable outcomes for individuals interested in a risk and insurance career.

KATE BEDDOE

Vice President

Kate is the Chief Sustainability & Risk Officer at Silver Fern Farms.

Prior to joining Silver Fern Farms Kate has held a number of executive and leadership roles including Chief Risk & Sustainability Officer for Vector Ltd, Vice President Risk & Sustainability for the AMCOR global business, Strategic Risk Manager at Toyota Australia and Senior Legal Counsel at Bonlac Foods Ltd. Kate holds a BA/LLB from Monash University in Melbourne and practiced commercial law for some years before moving into corporate roles.

Kate brings her unique perspective from working in a range of industries which includes professional services, agriculture, manufacturing and utilities, both nationally and internationally. Kate is also a faculty member of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership, Business & Sustainability Executive Leadership Program (Melbourne).

Alana

ALANA LATHROPE

Chair Events Sub-Committee

Alana is the Client & Markets Manager for an insurance litigation firm, having worked as an insurance lawyer and claims manager with two global insurers.  Alana has delved into the nitty-gritty of risk transfer, mitigation and claims. Her current role brings together insurers, brokers, clients and lawyers with the aim strengthening relationships and achieving the best outcomes during insurance disputes.

Megan

MEGAN HASTINGS

Chair Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Sub-Committee

Megan has a broad background including extensive risk experience and is presently Manager Enterprise Risk at NZ Super Fund. Megan has a strong belief in building organisational culture and lifting risk capability through access to tools, frameworks and education. Combining governance experience with over ten years of hands on involvement with driving D, E & I in complex environments made Megan an ideal choice to lead this strategically important sub-committee for RIMS NZ&PI.

Emma

EMMA BLACKBURN

Co-Chair Social Media Sub-Committee

A proactive engineer, risk, quality and safety manager. Emma has extensive experience in identifying risks, and developing, improving and approving quality and safety systems to comply with ISO and regulatory standards and to support generation of best practice both in defence and in commercial industry.

Callum

CALLUM HILL

Co-Chair Social Media Sub-Committee

Callum started in the banking sector in a risk based graduate program before moving into regulatory change roles. Most recently he has begun supporting customers in the post-write-off space. Callum is passionate about RIMS as he believes it is a great way to get a diverse group of like-minded people together to tackle the big issues affecting our industries and planet.
