Rising Risk Professional Training Series – Level up your Risk Management ONLINE

RIMS NZ & PI Chapter are proud to partner with KPMG to bring you this training series.

Are you a rising risk professional aged up to 35 years old and with 7 or less years of experience?  If so, we invite you to join an immersive eight-part training series designed with you in mind.  Limited to 25 attendees, and restricted to 2 people per business, this series is sure to get you thinking and developing as well as providing a fantastic opportunity to create a new network of friends in the risk profession across industries.

Our presenter is Bernie McKendrey. She will lead this 8-series training programme, an online event for rising risk professionals.

The series will start on 22 September 2021. The series will take place 1-4pm on the fourth Wednesday of every month (except December) until the series is finalised.

  • Who’s in Control? Risk Assurance Mapping & assessment of effective controls
  • Delivering Risk Insights – Development of dynamic risk reporting
  • Dealing with the hard stuff – Quantifying the financial impacts of complex risks
  • Building business resilience – Effective Business Continuity Planning
  • Getting into the Detail – Project Management Risks
  • Embedding ERM into business decisions

 

About Bernie:

Bernie has a wide-ranging level of experience and expertise in Internal Audit, Risk Management and Governance encompassing all facets of management, to Board level. She has been instrumental in the establishment and running of corporate functional areas, including Internal Audit, Risk Management, Regulatory Relations and Compliance, in Australasia and the UK.

Bernie has previously held chapter and Board roles with the Institute Internal Auditors NZ (IIA) and was a co-opted member of the IIA Australian Board – Education sub-committee.  She has provided training and education to members in New Zealand, Australia and UK and was a member of the UK institute when their primary qualification was granted chartered status.

Bernie has presented at National and International Conferences, and the Audit NZ Roadshow.

Bernie is an independent consultant, seeing this is where she can add the most value. She undertakes a range of pro bono activities, having an advocacy role with the IIANZ She provides training for IIA members and technical support for those sitting their Certified Internal Auditor qualification.  She is also assisting Transparency International NZ, on their Financial Integrity System Assessment (FISA).
